Nato a Foligno il 22 marzo 1873, morto a Biella nel giugno del 1941.
Ebbe a maestri Achille Vertunni e Franz Ettore Roesler.
Viaggiò molto all'estero e soggiornò lungamente in Germania. Si dedicò specialmente al paesaggio e al ritratto.
Fra le sue tele si citano: "Mattino di primavera", nel Museo di Colonia; "Saluto dei beneficati", esposto nel 1901 alla Biennale Veneziana e mandato alla Mostra di Arte di Leningrado, dove venne premiato con medaglia d'argento; "Mattino d'inverno nell'oliveto" ( 1897 ), acquistato dal Ministero dell'Agricoltura; "L'Aniene presso Tivoli", esposto nel 1899 alla Internazionale Veneziana; "Quiete" (1900) pastello, acquistato da Re Umberto I;
"Cavalli alla «Trita»", esposto nel 1927 a Palazzo Pitti.
Dopo il 1916 l'artista si era dedicato anche alla scultura, guidato da Ettore Ferrari.
Partecipa, nel 1904, all'Esposizione Italiana "Italian Exhibition Earl's Court" a Londra, organizzata dalla Italian
Chamber of Commerce a Londra, esponendovi i dipinti "Spring morning" e "Portrait of Mrs. Cartwright"

Biography

Born in Foligno on March 22, 1873, died in Biella in June 1941.
He had Achille Vertunni and Franz Ettore Roesler as masters.
He traveled extensively abroad and stayed for a long time in Germany. He devoted himself especially to landscapes and portraits.
Among his canvases are "Spring Morning," in the Cologne Museum; "Greeting of the Benefactors," exhibited in 1901 at the Venice Biennale and sent to the Leningrad Art Exhibition, where he was awarded a silver medal; "Winter Morning in the Olive Grove" ( 1897 ), purchased by the Ministry of Agriculture; "The Aniene near Tivoli," exhibited in 1899 at the Venice International; "Quiet" (1900) pastel, purchased by King Umberto I;
"Horses at the "Trita,"" exhibited in 1927 at the Pitti Palace.
After 1916 the artist had also devoted himself to sculpture, guided by Ettore Ferrari.
He participated, in 1904, in the "Italian Exhibition Earl's Court" in London, organized by the Italian
Chamber of Commerce in London, exhibiting there the paintings "Spring morning" and "Portrait of Mrs. Cartwright"
