Splendida fusione di questa Grande Scultura in Bronzo firmata sulla Base da Enrico Astorri (Piacenza 1859 - Milano 1921). In Perfette Condizioni.

Raffigurante l' Amazzone Guerriera, che appare ben presto anche nella plastica decorativa del sec.VI a.C. come ornamento di lebeti e che si crede desunto dalla figura dell’arciere sciita. L’eroina cavalca un veloce destriero, avendo il capo coperto da un berretto che finisce a puntaed una lancia in mano.

Enrico Astorri 
Esordì a 20 anni col monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II a Parma, nella centralissima piazza Garibaldi. Nel 1884 partecipò all'Esposizione di Torino con la Serenata e con un busto di Umberto I, nel 1886 a quella di Milano, dove presentò l'opera Compagni di sventura, nel 1887 a quella di Venezia, dove espose l'opera Rondinella pellegrina. Nel 1889 realizzò Monumento a Garibaldi a Piacenza.

Nel 1901 partecipò all'Esposizione di Monaco di Baviera, dove vinse la medaglia d'oro con l'opera La Filatrice araba, tuttora conservata nel museo di Monaco e della quale esistono numerose copie.
Lavorò molto anche all'estero: per l'Uruguay, l'Argentina e la Russia, dove si recò nel 1896 ottenendo un grande successo. Sordo a trent'anni e colpito da paralisi nel 1920, sebbene fosse ormai ricco continuò a lavorare fino alla morte, avvenuta il 15 ottobre 1921 all'età di 62 anni.

Depicting the 'Warrior Amazon, which also appears early in decorative plastic of the 6th cent. BCE as an ornament of lebeti and is believed to be derived from the figure of the Shiite archer. The heroine rides a swift steed, having her head covered by a cap that ends in a pointy endand a spear in her hand.

Enrico Astorri 
He debuted at age 20 with the monument to Victor Emmanuel II in Parma's central Piazza Garibaldi. In 1884 he participated in the Turin Exposition with the Serenata and a bust of Umberto I, in 1886 in the Milan Exposition, where he presented the work Compagni di sventura, and in 1887 in the Venice Exposition, where he exhibited the work Rondinella pellegrina. In 1889 he produced Monumento a Garibaldi in Piacenza.

In 1901 he participated in the Munich Exposition, where he won the gold medal with the work La Filatrice araba, which is still preserved in the Munich museum and of which numerous copies exist.
He also worked extensively abroad: for Uruguay, Argentina, and Russia, where he went in 1896 to great success. Deaf at age 30 and stricken with paralysis in 1920, although he was now wealthy he continued to work until his death on October 15, 1921 at the age of 62.
